Q. How do I know if I have an indoor air quality problem?

Ans. The indoor air can be far more polluted than the outdoor air. If someone is experiencing congestion, sneezing, coughing, watery eyes, headache, and frequent nosebleeds, etc. then this could be a sign of poor indoor air quality. Dust mites, pet hair, chemicals, VOCs, and foul odour can be the reason for bad indoor air quality.

Air quality testing can be done in any specific area to check the concentration of gases and particles present in the indoor air.


Q. How does an air purifier work?

Ans. Air purifier consists of multiple filters and a fan that sucks the air inside and passes it through filters. Pollutants such as dust, smoke, VOCs, allergens, mold spores, bacteria, and viruses are captured by the filters and clean air is released into the specific area.


Q. What are the different types of filters in the air purifier?

Ans. There are mainly three types of air filters:


1. PRE FILTER – Pre-filters traps the large particles before they reach the main filters of the air purifier.


2. HEPA FILTER – High-Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters remove 99.97% of particles that are 0.3 microns and larger from the air. HEPA filters help in removing small pet dander particles, dust mite residue, and pollen from the air.


3. CARBON FILTER - Carbon filters remove odours and chemicals from your indoor air. These odours and chemicals include cigarette smoke, fireplace fumes, formaldehyde, volatile organic compounds (paint fumes, carpet glues, new building materials, etc.), pet odours, and kitchen odours.


Q. What grade HEPA you are using?

Ans. Advind Healthcare uses H13 grade HEPA filter in the air purifiers.


Q. Can air purifier and air conditioner be used in the same rooms?

Ans. Yes, air purifier and air conditioner can be used in the same room.


Q. How much space will an air purifier cover?

Ans. Kappa 1000 covers an area up to 1000 square feet.


Q. Which is the best place to keep an air purifier in my room?

Ans. You can install it in any corner of the room maintaining a distance of at least 2 feet from the wall.


Q. How much noise does an air purifier makes?

Ans. The loudness of an air purifier is measured in decibels and Kappa 1000 makes a noise of below 55 decibels which is quite low.


Q. What is the average life of the filters of a Portable solution/Air Purifier?

Ans. Generally, the life of the filter is 10-12 months in normal circumstances, but it may vary depending upon the place you have installed.


Q. Should we wash the filters of the air purifier every month?

Ans. You can wash the Pre-filter of the air purifier but the HEPA and Carbon filters are not washable.


Q. How many hours it should run continuously?

Ans. It can run continuously for 24 hours, but to give a rest for half an hour is good for machine.


Q. What is the maintenance of an air purifier?

Ans. One has to clean the filters once a month.  Pre-filter is washable but the HEPA and Carbon filters are not washable (Clean the HEPA and carbon filters with the help of vacuum cleaner).


Q. Does Kappa 1000 display PM 2.5 Measurement?

Ans. Yes, it displays PM 2.5 measurement along with humidity and temperature.


Q. Does your air purifier come with a remote control?

Ans. Yes, Kappa 1000 comes with remote control.


Q. How much is the warranty of your air purifier?

Ans. Kappa 1000 comes with a warranty of 1 year. (Filters are not included in the warranty)
